A band who probably formed for the same reasons every band ever has, A Friend Of Mine is a few people who like making music enough to do it all the time, who didn't set out to be outrageous or eclectic or anything, but it seems no one who's heard them can agree on what they sound like.  Apparently it's a big mixture of all these genres they don't listen to or bands they've never heard.  How interesting.
